Vancouver Bandits Announce 2025 Training Camp Roster

The Vancouver Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Tuesday its training camp roster for its seventh season of professional basketball, which tips off on Thursday, May 15 when the club travels to Saskatoon, Sask. to face the Saskatchewan Rattlers. The Bandits hit the court at home for the first time on Thursday, May 22 when they host the Niagara River Lions at Langley Events Centre in a rematch of the 2024 CEBL Final.


New to the Bandits’ season is an expanded slate of pre-season games, all at Langley Events Centre. The sold-out, intrasquad School Day Game returns for a fourth consecutive year, taking place on Thursday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. PT. A second pre-season game will be included on Saturday, May 10 with the Bandits facing the Sikh Warriors, competitors at the 2025 edition of ESPN’s The Basketball Tournament, tipping off at 5:00 p.m. PT. Vancouver’s 2025 Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) training camp roster features 15 athletes; including 11 Canadians, 6 British Columbians, four Americans and two CEBL Development Athletes.


The upcoming summer campaign will be head coach and general manager Kyle Julius’ sixth season with the club. Julius coached the Bandits to a CEBL championship finals berths in 2020 and 2024 and the franchise has qualified for the CEBL postseason in each of the past five consecutive years.


The Bandits’ training camp roster is highlighted by popular content creator, influencer, and viral social media sensation Tristan Jass. Known for his jaw-dropping ball-handling skills and incredible trick shots, Jass’ signing with the team in April marked his first professional basketball contract.


The Bandits are welcoming back some familiar faces, with returning players from its 2024 roster including CEBL veterans Duane Notice, Glen Yang and James Karnik, along with Curtis Hollis and reigning U SPORTS Championship MVP Sam Maillet.


Former New Orleans Pelican Izaiah Brockington, University of Florida alum and Canadian big man Tyrese Samuel, and San Antonio Spurs’ G League starter Kyle Mangas join the Bandits as newcomers to the league and adding high-level experience. Shamar Givance, Mike Nuga and Grant Shephard bring speed, size and prior CEBL experience to the roster.


The Bandits selected homegrown players Mikyle Malabuyoc (Western Ontario) and David Mutabazi (Trinity Western) with the No. 11 and No. 30 overall picks in the 2025 CEBL Draft. Also representing local talent is Surrey, B.C.’s Majok Gum, who excelled at Laurier University at Waterloo, Ont. before playing his first season of professional basketball overseas in Germany in 2024-25.

During his time with the Bandits in the 2026 season, House made 10 appearances, including 9 starts, averaging 24.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 8.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game and earned CEBL Western Conference Player of the Month honours for May 2026. On June 18, 2026 at Winnipeg, he set the Bandits' single-game franchise scoring record with 42 points. Introduced in the NBA’s 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Exhibit 10 contracts are one-year deals. They can include a potential bonus if the player spends time with the team’s G League affiliate.

Vancouver Bandits, FortisBC, I SPARC Host Youth Basketball Camp in Williams Lake

The Vancouver Bandits, BC’s professional basketball team, hosted a youth basketball camp on Wednesday, September 9 in Williams Lake, in partnership with the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council (I∙SPARC) and FortisBC. The Bandits welcomed over 40 local athletes and their families to the camp, with the main goal of building confidence, inspiring young athletes, and bringing youth sports development and mentorship to athletes across the province. Held at Lake City Secondary, the camp marked the first community visit by BC’s professional basketball team to the Cariboo region, bringing more basketball to more people across our province. “Community is a core pillar of the Bandits organization, and we are proud to host camps and opportunities that help shape and inspire the next generation of players and leaders,” said Vancouver Bandits team president Dylan Kular. “Thank you to our partners at I∙SPARC and FortisBC for their support in bringing this camp to fruition, and to the Williams Lake basketball community for welcoming our team this week.” "We're proud to support opportunities that help young people build confidence, strengthen their skills and create lasting connections," said Janet Devaney, senior manager, community & Indigenous initiatives at FortisBC. Established in 2023, ongoing and past projects through the Collective include camps and clinics for Indigenous youth and coaches, building new basketball courts in Indigenous communities, and hosting the 2026 Junior All Native Basketball Tournament.

Former Vancouver Bandits guard Kyle Mangas has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Charlotte Hornets. The news was announced by the Hornets on social media. Mangas is expected to practice and compete with the Hornets during the 2026-27 Training Camp and preseason from October 3rd to 12th. During his time with the Bandits in the 2025 season, Mangas finished top five on the team in points (15.3), rebounds (4.6), assists (3.3) and steals (1.3). Introduced in the NBA’s 2017 Collective Bargaining Agreement, Exhibit 10 contracts are one-year deals. They can include a potential bonus if the player spends time with the team’s G League affiliate.
