  • Kevin Dhaliwal

Kevin Dhaliwal is a leader in British Columbia’s real estate industry. As founder and president of Essence Properties, Dhaliwal is an established and family-minded builder of communities with 20 years of experience in residential construction and more than 800 homes situated throughout Langley, Surrey and South Surrey.

Projects under Essence’s portfolio are defined by high quality accommodation and value for individuals and families looking for accessibility and comfort in proximity to schools, parks, shopping and transit.

Dhaliwal’s passion for community development and sports traces back to his childhood. When not practicing hoops at Fleetwood Park Secondary School in Surrey, B.C., Dhaliwal relished the opportunity to help his father build the family’s new home.

These early experiences on and off the court paved the way for Dhaliwal to help the Fleetwood Dragons’ boys basketball team qualify for provincials before he later attended BCIT’s Building Construction Technologies program.

Today, Dhaliwal takes pride in supporting all levels of the Lower Mainland’s real estate and sports landscapes.

He is a proud resident of the Township of Langley and is excited about a highly anticipated Masterplan mixed-use community located adjacent to Langley Events Centre. The project will enhance the area as a premier destination for individuals and families looking for a lifestyle fixture in the urban heart of the community that is surrounded by local entertainment options and vendors, nature, and is accessible via the highway and public transit.

Not only a community partner and season ticket member of the Bandits, Dhaliwal and Essence have a longstanding history of sponsoring various amateur and youth tournaments across the region, with many of its staff being regulars at high school basketball provincials, Bandits games and more.
