Bandits BC Player of the Week Presented by A&W Canada: January 26, 2024

As British Columbia's professional basketball team, the Vancouver Bandits are excited to celebrate young student-athletes across our province who are achieving success on and off the court. These are the BC Players of the Week presented by A&W Canada and the Vancouver Bandits for the week preceding January 26, 2024.
Bobby Raye Farrow: Senior Girls, Barriere Secondary
"Bobby Raye is a hard working and dedicated athlete who plays with a high level of intelligence and is a dominant force on both ends of the court. However, Bobby Raye is not just leader on the Barriere Secondary Sr. Girls team, she helps coach the Jr. Girls team and has taken on the head coaching role for the grade 5/6 Boys team at Barriere Elementary where she coaches 20 athletes. We are beyond fortunate to have an athlete like Bobby Raye playing for our school and developing the future of our teams." -Rachael Bowser, coach
Ixara Forstbauer: Junior Boys, Sardis Secondary (Chilliwack)
"Ixara has began his high school career with a determination and passion to get in the gym and get better. He has led the Sardis Grade 9 Boys team to a 17-4 record so far this year, and led the team in most statistical categories. Along with being a committed player, Ixara has shown a high result in the classroom while being in the Sardis French Immersion Program. This 6'2" Guard/Forward has a huge upside and will be a big presence for Sardis Basketball in the coming years" -Kyle Graves, athletic director
They will each receive a prize pack courtesy of the Vancouver Bandits and A&W Canada. To learn how you can nominate a local middle or secondary school student-athlete, follow this link for full details.
