CEBL Free Agency is now open! Stay tuned as we build up our roster towards the 2026 season.


Players in the CEBL are signed to one-season contracts and bring experience from top leagues around the world, including the NBA, NBA G League, other premier international leagues, as well as U SPORTS and the NCAA.


Developmental Players  (DEV) are able to practice and play in the CEBL while retaining eligibility for the upcoming 2026-27 U SPORTS season.


CEBL rosters must include:

  • Minimum 6 Canadian players on roster
  • Maximum 5 Import Players (non-Canadians) on gameday/active roster
  • 10-14 players allowed on gameday/active roster
  • 2 Canadian players on the court at all times during all CEBL games

Vancouver Bandits forward Mitch Creek has been called up to the Australia men’s national team for the upcoming 2027 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, as announced by Basketball Australia. The reigning CEBL Most Valuable Player and All-CEBL First Team member captained the Bandits during the 2025 season, where he appeared and started in 20 games and averaged 24.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 34.4 minutes played. Following his stellar sophomore campaign with the Bandits, he signed with U-BT Cluj-Napoca in Romania for the 2025-26 season in EuroCup, one of the premier pro basketball leagues in the world. Hailing from Horsham, Victoria, Creek has appeared in 20 games for the Australia Boomers. This call up marks his first appearance for his country since 2019, where he competed at the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Australia, who are ranked sixth in FIBA's men's world rankings, will face Guam on Thursday, February 26 at 1:00 a.m. PT before taking on the Philippines on Sunday, March 1 at 1:30 a.m. PT.

The Vancouver Bandits announced that reigning Canadian Player of the Year Tyrese Samuel has re-signed with the club for the 2026 Canadian Elite Basketball League season. Making an immediate impact during his debut CEBL campaign in 2025, Samuel led all players league-wide in field goal percentage (65.9) while finishing top three on the Bandits in points (21.7) and rebounds per game (10.8) in 15 games played. He broke the club’s single-game scoring record during his CEBL debut on May 15, 2025 recording 36 points along with 12 rebounds, and was named CEBL Player of the Week on August 11, 2025. “ We’ve got some unfinished business to take care of ,” said Samuel. The 6-foot-10, Montréal, Que. product capped off his dominant season by being named Canadian Player of the Year and a Second Team All-CEBL selection at the 2025 CEBL Awards . His stellar play also earned him a roster spot with the Brooklyn Nets during the 2025 NBA Summer League and an Exhibit 10 contract with the Phoenix Suns during 2026 NBA training camp. “We are all very excited that we get another chance to work with Tyrese, he is a special player and an even better person. Tyrese is one of the best Canadians to ever play in our league and we are looking forward to building our roster around him,” said head coach and general manager Kyle Julius. The 25-year-old forward has spent the 2025-26 season with the Phoenix Suns’ NBA G League affiliate, Valley Suns, where he has appeared in 24 games and logged 8.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 18.2 minutes played. A top Canadian prospect while in university, Samuel played four seasons at Seton Hall University from 2019 to 2023 before transferring to the University of Florida for his graduate year, where he earned Second Team All-SEC honours. Internationally, Samuel has represented Canada on two occasions, earning a silver medal at the 2018 FIBA U18 AmeriCup and appearing in the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup. The Bandits open the 2026 CEBL season on Thursday, May 14 on the road in Saskatchewan before coming home for two exciting matchups as part of 2026 Home Opener Weekend at Envision Financial Court at Langley Events Centre. The club will host the Edmonton Stingers on Friday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m. PT before facing the Calgary Surge on Sunday, May 24 at 5:00 p.m. PT in a rematch of the 2025 CEBL Western Conference Quarterfinal. Fans can take advantage of a special Home Opener Weekend ticket offer; buy three tickets to either or both games and receive an additional ticket for free. G Izaiah Brockington, G Corey Davis Jr., G David Mutabazi and G Tristan Jass remain on the Club's Suspended List.

The Vancouver Bandits have announced today the following roster update in advance of its Friday, August 1 away game against the Edmonton Stingers at 6:00 p.m. PT: F Majok Gum and F Grant Shephard have been removed from the Inactive List and added to the Club's active roster. Both players will be available for tonight's game. Gum will wear jersey number 7. G Izaiah Brockington, G Corey Davis Jr., G David Mutabazi and G Tristan Jass remain on the Club's Suspended List.

The Vancouver Bandits have announced that guards Corey Davis Jr. and Izaiah Brockington have transitioned to their next professional opportunities overseas ahead of the 2025-26 season. Due to reporting timelines set by their international clubs, both players are required to depart earlier than anticipated. Davis Jr. signed with Niners Chemnitz of Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga on July 3 . The 6-foot-1 guard suited up in 12 games for the Bandits, including 11 starts, and departs the club with averages of 14.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists. His 3.7 three pointers made per game ranked him first among all CEBL players this season. Brockington will be taking his talents to the New Zealand Breakers , who compete in Australia’s National Basketball League. The 6-foot-4 guard appeared and started in the first eight games of the 2025 CEBL season, averaging 10.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists, before joining the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2025 NBA Summer League. Davis Jr. and Brockington have been placed on the Bandits’ Suspended List for the remainder of the 2025 CEBL season, while also retaining their CEBL rights. The CEBL remains a premier destination for elite talent to develop and advance their careers. While both players expressed a strong desire to finish the CEBL season, the Bandits fully support the continued growth in their careers. The Bandits thank Corey and Izaiah for their contributions to the club this season and wish them continued success.

Vancouver Bandits guard David Mutabazi has been called up to Rwanda’s men’s national team for the upcoming 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament. The 6-foot-5 guard and current student-athlete with Trinity Western University was selected 30th overall by the Bandits in the 2025 CEBL Draft. As a Development Player, Mutabazi appeared in nine games during the 2025 season, including three starts, averaging 1.4 points, 0.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 11.6 minutes played. The team will begin group play on Wednesday, August 13 against Ivory Coast, with tip-off set for 8 a.m. PT. Rwanda will then take on DR Congo on August 15, and Cape Verde on August 17. The knockout stage begins on August 18 and the final is set for August 24. Games will be played in Mocamedes and Luanda, Angola Born in Kirinda, Rwanda before moving to Canada at a young age, this marks Mutabazi’s first-ever international call up. Mutabazi will be placed on the Bandits’ Suspended List for the remainder of the 2025 season, in order for him to participate at AfroBasket while also retaining his CEBL rights.
