ABBOTSFORD, May 3, 2019 –
The Fraser Valley Bandits announced Friday that TELUS will be the Bandits’ Official Telecommunications Partner for the team’s inaugural season in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), the Official First Division Professional League Partner of Canada Basketball.
The pivotal partnership is supported by TELUS’ contributions as the Official Presenting Partner of the Bandits’ inaugural home opener. TELUS will support the home opener by contributing prizing, resources, and digital support to ensure that fans and families enjoy a memorable experience at Abbotsford Centre, the Bandits’ home venue.
“TELUS is proud to forge an important partnership with the Bandits for their inaugural season of professional basketball. TELUS strongly believes in the unifying power of sport, and supporting a community sports and entertainment product, especially one that brings various municipalities from across the Fraser Valley together, is at the core of our mandate,” said Ravi Sidhu, Senior Regional Market Manager for TELUS.
TELUS will maintain high visibility at all Bandits home games, symbolized by a decal on Abbotsford Centre’s new hardwood court. Throughout the season, Fraser Valley Bandits fans are encouraged to connect with TELUS and follow the Bandits’ journey on social media across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
“The Fraser Valley Bandits are thrilled to align with a telecommunications partner of TELUS’ stature. TELUS has a long history of supporting both corporate and grassroots initiatives, and we are honoured that they have aligned with the Bandits for our first season in the CEBL. We look forward to collaborating to ensure that the Fraser Valley writes a successful new chapter in Canadian basketball history,” said Dylan Kular, Director of Business Operations for the Fraser Valley Bandits.
