Fraser Valley Bandits Announce Home Opener Holiday Steal
Special gift bundle gives fans an early opportunity to purchase tickets for the team’s 2020 home opener and to represent British Columbia’s basketball team with a special holiday edition team scarf.
ABBOTSFORD , Nov. 27, 2019 – The Fraser Valley Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Thursday that the team is offering fans an early opportunity to purchase and save on tickets and exclusive merchandise for the team’s 2020 home opener as part of a special holiday package.
The promotion is called the Home Opener Holiday Steal and launches as part of Black Friday on November 29.
For just $70, entertainment and sports fans are given an early opportunity to save on an exclusive bundle of two silver single game tickets to the Bandits’ home opener on Friday, May 8 at Abbotsford Centre in 2020, as well as two official team scarves.
The Home Opener Holiday Steal is a limited time chance to purchase tickets for the Bandits’ home opener months before single game tickets are expected to go on sale. The promotion lasts from November 29 to December 20 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
“I’m excited to give our fans an early opportunity to secure their tickets for what is set to be a historic home opener at Abbotsford Centre in May 2020. Last season thousands of fans from across the region filled the venue as part of an unforgettable game day atmosphere created by an opportunity to watch some of Canada’s finest professional athletes compete against one another on home soil for the first-time ever,” said Bandits Vice President Dylan Kular.
“Next season’s home opener promises to deliver more entertainment and I hope to see thousands of fans wearing their Bandits official team scarf on Friday, May 8 when we defend home court against the defending CEBL Champions, the Saskatchewan Rattlers. Together, we’ll show Canada that the west has next.”
Fans can purchase the Home Opener Holiday Steal package at the Bandits’ pop-up shop at Highstreet Shopping Centre, located at Unit B135 – 3122 Mt. Lehman Road in Abbotsford and also through the Bandits’ online store.
Fans are asked to note that the promotion is available online until December 20, but is only available in store at Highstreet Shopping Centre from November 29 to December 11.
In addition to the holiday package, the Bandits will also be offering a one-day, in-store only 40 per cent discount on all team merchandise at the team’s pop-up shop at Highstreet Shopping Centre as part of its Black Friday campaign. This will be complemented by a follow-up 30 per cent discount that is an online only promotion for Cyber Monday on December 2.
The Bandits will play a 20-game season against the CEBL’s six other teams – the Edmonton Stingers, Saskatchewan Rattlers, Niagara River Lions, Hamilton Honey Badgers, Guelph Nighthawks and Ottawa BlackJacks.
All 20 regular season Bandits games will be streamed live on CBC Gem,
CEBL.tv and the Island Sports Network. Fraser Valley will also be part of a
nationally televised broadcast as part of the CBC Game of the Week
when
the Bandits travel to Edmonton on June 13 and when Fraser Valley hosts the
Saskatchewan Rattlers on June 20.
