Bandits to sponsor exhibition game between Trinity Western Spartans and Columbia Bible College Bearcats
CHILLIWACK, Sept. 26, 2018 –
The Fraser Valley Bandits of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) and Chilliwack Basketball Club are excited to co-sponsor a special exhibition game between the Trinity Western Spartans and the Columbia Bible College Bearcats’ men’s basketball teams. The game will take place this Friday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. at Sardis Secondary School’s gymnasium in Chilliwack, B.C.
Tickets to the game for adults will cost $5 and admission for kids is $2. Dylan Kular, Director of Business Operations for the Bandits, will be on hand at the game’s registration desk to introduce himself to the fans, to hand out Bandits information cards, and to host an exclusive ticket giveaway for the team’s home opener in May 2019.
“Everyone who has grown up in the Fraser Valley knows that Chilliwack is known for supplying elite talent throughout the university and collegiate ranks, both in British Columbia and across Canada,” said Kyle Graves, Director of Chilliwack Basketball Club.
“This game gives kids in Chilliwack a chance to watch elite players and to aspire towards becoming great players themselves. Meanwhile, the Bandits are an accessible local platform for the sport that allows our youth to watch professionals in their own backyard.”
Similarly, Kular hopes that Friday’s game sets a strong precedent for the Bandits to be active members in the Fraser Valley community and conveys that the team will strive to work alongside a wide range of grassroots and corporate partners.
“We are thrilled to support community events and to work towards further introducing ourselves to our growing fanbase, and to build relationships through collaborative initiatives like this one with Trinity Western University and Columbia Bible College’s respective athletics programs.”
