Bandits Assistant Coach Kyle Graves to Drop Ceremonial Puck at Chilliwack Chiefs Game This Friday, March. 15, At Prospera Centre
Bandits’ recently announced Assistant Coach set to kick-off Chiefs’ second-round playoff series against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
CHILLIWACK, MARCH. 13, 2019 –
Fraser Valley Bandits Assistant Coach Kyle Graves will be making a special appearance at this Friday’s Chilliwack Chiefs game to help kick-off the Chilliwack Chiefs’ Round 2 series against the visiting Prince George Spruce Kings.
Graves, also the Founder of Chilliwack Basketball Club and a Sardis Secondary School alumnus, will be joined by a group of kids from his local club’s programming for the ceremonial puck drop in front of a packed house at Prospera Centre.
The Chiefs are fresh off a thrilling Round 1 series that saw them complete a historic comeback against a determined Langley Rivermen team that took the Chiefs to the brink of elimination after going up 0-3 in the series before the Chiefs stormed back to win four consecutive games and take the series 4-3.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Chiefs finished first in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with 85 points. However, theSpruce Kings narrowly finished second with 84 points. The Spruce Kings and Chiefs met eight times during the regular season, with Prince George winning five of those contests.
If history is any indicator, Friday night at the Prospera Centre and Round 2 as a whole promises to be a tightly contested and thrilling series between the BCHL’s top two teams.
Tickets for the game can be purchased on the Chiefs’ website. Bandits fans from across Chilliwack and the surrounding Fraser Valley are invited to come to the game to meet Coach Graves and cheer on the Chiefs as they continue their pursuit of another national title.
